In this project I got my inspiration
for my light model form the look of the cannon. I search lots of images of
cannon on the google, and I finally I come to a universal look of it and use it
as the shape for my project. The light ball in the cannon is represents the cannon
bullet and it is defined by its shape as well.
It
starts with a curve and I revolve it to make the barrel, and then I rotate it to
90 degree. I use some sample shape to form up the bases of the cannon. I join
the two parts together by Boolean union. With the basic shape done I use the
command section to draw all the different curves and planar curve it to make it
the plan. After that I uses “CutMyOwnRibs” command to make the joining parts
between the planes. I uses “BetterMassiveUnroll” to place it on the ground and
clean up the edges. In the end I put the curves in to different layers Magenta for
exterior cut, Blue is for interior cut, and Red for engraving.
With rendering
I use Fine grain polished wood #1 and Light Oak to make the value contrast. I
also change the brightness of the environment between the two images that the
one has light on and the other has it off.
