Michael Huh: Week 10 Extra Credit
This chair is inspired by a school chair. I wanted to keep this chair casual, nothing too flashy for school. For the seat I curved it to give comfort for the legs without adding any cushion. I also added arm rests for this chair so the arm would have a place to rest.
I drew out the chair using the line tools to create the shape of the chair and piped the poles to give it form. For the seat and the back rest, I used planar curves and extrude to create the form. I than filleted the edges and used boolean union/join to join all the pieces together.
For the materials I went more towards a darker color and nothing towards wood. I used Mold-Tech for the seat and the back rest. For the tubes I used a traditional material, metal.
