Tyler Parton / Round Bar CSP Chair/ ELDS 205 / Winter 2014

I was thinking about the lamp project when I came up with the design the aluminum rods would give the object visual weight and strength while still giving it a sleek profile and transparency. I used the contour command to generate the horizontal rods. The original shape was derived from cylinder to give it a modern and clean birds eye view.
I added a red leather seat to give the chair a little character and to draw the eye to the contours of cushion. The flow should read form the outline rods to the defining rods to the cushion then to the defining again before repeating. I used black anodized rod for the contour rods to make them pop with their small diameter.
I used a slight periwinkle tent to the outline rod to keep the color scheme analogues and to drawn back in the red from the chair. The rendering background color also has a little red in it to war the chairs environment. I used angular curves to separate the contours of the back from the legs in the side view.

Thank you
