Juan Sebastian Moreno_ Crystal Polvinale: Final Project Kite

Concept Design

 Final Design

In the Air

I was pretty exited to make a kite, since I had never mane one from scratch. Now, for our design Crystal and I decided it could be a good idea to made an Alien since there most seen in the sky. We first buy the materials that include table wraps of color, masking tape, rubber cement, grommets, and any decor that we could find to make our kites stand out in design. For the Kite, its design is a delta kite which is made up of using wooden dowels and a triangular figure with dimensions of 60, 30, 90 degree angle.

For construction, its pretty straight forward, just following the exact measurements and than later placing the wooden dowels among the edges. Something we did not follow was that interception of the top dowel. We decided it would be better to lower its placement so that it could be better to fly.

All in all, im glad I share this experience with my class I would have never though of making a Kite and actually make it fly. I will carry along with me this experience and hold on the technical lessons taught with in this Final Project! Great Way to end Finals!! Thank You Professor Andrew P. Scott
