My inspiration comes from my castle and other medieval french castles that were stone based.
I wanted to keep it simple and realistic as possible.

The techniques used were a lot of 'Polar Array', rotating, trimming and 'Boolean difference' for the columns; along with extruded curved lines to make the walls; I used a mirror function to build the door and doorway.
Going along with keeping it as realistic as possible I decided to use stone and wood materials to give my castle the texture I desired.
