Shameka Browne-Heskey: Week 1: Castle/Spaceship

Ghosted
Pedestrian
Bird's Eye

The title of my spaceship is Global Takeover. I figured that it would be cool to design a spaceship that could shoot flaming red balls of fire out at its desired target from any angle. The fact that it looks like an eyeball floating through space was not intended, but it helps the cause.

I knew that I wanted to have a well-rounded design. To create this sci-fi spaceship, I started off with a sphere. I then created and mirrored the two rings (followed by numerous rotations to achieve the best angles), and then extruded all of the other shapes seen. The joints used to connect the sphere to the rings, and the satellites to the sphere, are simply extruded cylinders. The window is also a result of an extruded cylinder. There is a muffler located at the back of the spaceship.

The sphere is coated in stainless steel and it has a green stained-glass window. The orbs located inside of the satellite dishes are made of ruby red precious gems. The disks surrounding the sphere are coated in a semi-gloss paint.
