For this project  I spent a lot of time on the concept and sketches to come up with a successful design that I could see myself or someone now wearing.  The name Titan Shades describes luxury and strength, These glasses were designed with Gold siding and end pieces to show a subtle flashy feel.  The side rails are made of a shiny metallic black plastic and wrapped in black leather that allows for a lighter weight shade and complements the gold nicely.  When looking the center connection is the same black leather seen on the side with gold siding and dark lenses designed for a male to wear.  There is gold wire-frame connecting the side rail to the front face for a futuristic breathable feel.
In designing these glasses I used several tools like sweep 2, extrude, project curve on surface, loft, blend, fillet, boolean difference, and a lot of the piping. I think it was important to set up an accurate orthographic to determine the shape, scale and propotion of the glasses before actually forming the model.  I drew my orthographics using a cintiq pen in photoshop and then kind of worked from there with the actual detail in these glasses.  I am happy with the overall solution but had a tough time getting rhino to cooperate as it kept crashing on me and locking up.  I would have liked to fix my fillets better and with more time look to go back and add that detail.
