Daniel Wiedenmann: Ring

The inspiration I had for this project came from Indian influences, such as designs for henna tattoos. 

Some of the commands I used for this project are chamfer edge, fillet edge, boolean difference, and curve boolean. I also used the picture frame command to get the shape for the elephant and circle design.

When rendering this image I had several passes, such as occlusion, specular, and reflection passes, and I used the gradient tool to show the wireframe construction. For the materials I used 24 karat gold and cherry wood, and I believe the red tones of the wood play niceley with the gold.
