Billy Nisbet Week:4 Detergent Bottle

My inspiration for the detergent bottle design is a water droplet. I wanted a sleek, functional shape, so i based the overall structure loosely around a triangle. The handle was designed from the same curves as the body to give consistency to shapes.

The tools used for this project were sweeps, lofts, offset surfaces to make the different layers. Network surfaces, and patch to close and smooth gaps, trim and split to ensure water-tight edges, helix for the cap, boolean processes for connecting and trimming objects. Filleting was used to clean up the end design.

For materials, I wanted a bright, crisp color for the liquid layer, i think this color projects an air of cleanliness. I wanted the flowing shapes to have harmony, so grey rubbers were used for their touch and (optical) feel. Plastic was used for the bladder portion of the model.
