The design for this waffle lamp was inspired by the shape of plant bulbs. I drew the curve of the two different petal types and then polar array them (6 each). I then created the horizontal sections based on the root shape of the revolved petals. I extruded the inner rim of the circles at different diameters to diversify the angles of light visibility. I then extruded the petals from the horizontal sections to create the notches. The thickness of the material is 0.19inches so as to be lazercut out of luan. For the cut-sheet objects I exploded the surfaces of my extrusions and used the unroll command to project the surfaces.
