The inspiration I used for this ring is obvious, a gift for my Mom for Mother's Day. I wanted something simple but meaningful. I liked the use of dark and light metals meshing together. I also worked off many similar rings that have inlaid spiral metals like I have here.

I made this ring by first creating the main ring through extrusion and fillets. Then using Boolean differences to cut out the inlay space for the spiral metals pieces. I then took four tubes, placed them together, twisted them and bent them to fit inside the inlaid space of the ring on both sides. Finally creating the text and wrapping it on the outside band.

I used gold and black chrome for the spiral metals. I liked the contrasts between the two metals. I then made the ring silver with the band wrapping on the inside made of brass. Then I made the letters on the inside pink anodized aluminum to add a feminine motherly touch.
