Open Door |
With my pendant design I wanted to create something that I could place a light into so it would glow. I wanted the design to be simplistic but yet complex in form. I drew most of my inspiration from the state itself as far as the shape goes.
For the process I started with the picture frame command and imported an outline of Michigan. I traced this outline then extruded that into a surface. I then pipe and split the surfaces apart so I could blendsrf them together to get a smooth edge. For the inside I offset the surface and use simple rectangular solids for the door on the bottom.
For the materials I chose a blue plastic so it would be able to emit some sort of light if an LED was placed inside. I also wanted it to be somewhat durable and not very shiny as well.
