Kristin Leverette: Week 4 Flash Drive

My inspiration for my flash drive started off as a guitar, my goal was to mimic the instrument. The lines and shapes that I applied to creating this flash drive were all organic shapes made in the present. The shape reminds me of the different shapes and sides of the the instrument.
For my modeling techniques I used an organic shape and applied the offset command to make the body of the flash drive. I also Boolean union the squares and rectangles, I used the command  Boolean difference to create the top part of the flash drive. I tried using the offset and trimming command f but evidently that didn't go too well.

I used soft touch black for my materials and went a little darker for my lighting in key shot. The materials are also chrome, I though the black touch and the chrome went very well together. It also complements the shape of the USB.
