Crysta Polvinale week 5: Detergent
This detergent bottle is largely inspired by function. The curvature is meant to hold a good amount of detergent. The handle is located for optimal weight distribution.
I closely followed the tutorial, using the sweep 2 to create the largest outer shape. For the middle indent I drew curves, extruded them and then sweep 2 again. The screw thread took the longest time, but was created with the helix curve.
In keyshot I wanted to have a running color throughout, which is the turquoise. I think the mix of cool green and warm green give the feel of a modern detergent bottle. The materials are plastic as I think most detergent bottles are.
