Nathan Beck: Week 4 Detergent Bottle

When ever I think of washing clothes, I think of the detergent Gain. I love the smell! It reminds me of waves of the fresh scent floating around. I choose to go with a whimsical and wavy design. I love curves and twists and turns. When they are incorporated into design I love them even more! I always try to a more organic design when designing. This bottle has curves, while also pulling from the Gain inspiration.
I followed the tutorial, while making personal touches. I used the loft, helix, fillet(of course) and the trim tool. I separated the bottle into swirls by splitting them. It took me a while to get the shape the right shape I wanted, but I finally got it. The helix, screw top was kind of difficult, but I managed.

Since its a detergent bottle, I chose plastic. I wanted to add bright colors that were fresh just like how the clothes while be after a wash. I played around with my lighting and landed a black background. I really like the contrast of colors.
