Tyler Parton / Week 4 / Sunglasses

I wanted to create a pair of sunglasses that would be collapsible. I was inspired by aviator styled sunglasses. I wanted the have a rectangular bridge with a slight twist to look clean but not too simple.

I choose to model square shaped shades to further block glare. The size and shape of the shades is designed to stop refracted light from coming off the cheek bones. I gave the shades a curved profile to fit more comfortably on the face.

I went with a deep teal to set the mood of the of the glasses. I put a gold accent bridge to add visual weight. I used anodized red on the ban to draw the form back to the simple line, using complementary colors.
