Michael D. Huh Winter 2014 Elds 205 USB

Michael D. Huh Winter 2014 Elds 205 USB

This cool little usb is good for all ages. Help keeps personal files in safe keeping. It is easily portable and easily seen anywhere due to the shiny materials that were used. The piping help gives the user grip when pulling and pushing the usb from their sockets. This usb is also magnetic at the end, so it is easy to place anywhere in eye sight.
I created lines using polyline and arc to create the form of this usb. Using trim, It helped to cut the unwanted curves. I than offset the box and extruded both boxes and capped both. I created rounded rectangle and used array polar to create multiple of the same shape. At this stage I created one side and used piping instead of fillet for the edge. I than mirrored one side to the other and joined both. For the port I created a rectangle and extruded it and created another rectangle and trimmed it out from the bigger rectangle. I also used cap to help close the rectangles. Using the same steps I created two cutouts.
For the color I went with metallic blue and axalta green. Green and blue seemed to go well together. I added white to give a little pop of color and to help center the piece together. It also helps and bring both colors together.
