Andrea Banegas Week 9: Shoe

GHOSTED VIEW

RENDERED VIEW

For my shoe design I decided to design a pair of sandals. These sandals are specially made for the beach. They are easy to put in and more importantly they are very comfortable. I chose this color because this way you can combine them with which ever cloth you want. To model them I used curves and extrude them, pipes and the boolean union command. For my material I decided to use leather, but they should really be made with a material that can get wet without ruin them.

Andrea Banegas Week 10: Camera

For my camera design I was inspired by the nikon J1. I love white cameras and this is why I chose to render it white. Even though I was inspired by the nikon I still decided to change some aspects of it. My design has some curves towards the front. I created my camera by using curves and then extrude them. Then I used boolean union to make it one piece.  I chose white and black plastic and silver as my material.

GHOSTED VIEW

RENDERED VIEW

My chair was designed to fit a modern house on a beach. To make the wood part of the chair I first drew a curve and extrude it. Then I made lines and used the pipe tool. For my materials I used wood and soft touch material to give the chair a comfortable look.

To create this lamp I started by making a truncated solid.  After having the shape,  I made the contours and sections. I followed the pipe tutorial to make the notches. This lamp was designed to fit perfectly my nightstand. I decided to keep it simple because I believe simplicity gives elegance.

Andrea Banegas: Week 6 Ring

The purpose of this design was to make a modern and valuable ring. This could be a birthday gift from a father to his daughter.  To model this ring I used curves and the crv2view command. After having the curves in place, I used the divide tool to build points all over my curves. Then I joined the points with an arch. To finish I used the pipe and the boolean difference commands.
For my renderings I used gold matte 18k because gold makes jewelry look luxurious and beautiful.

DRAWINGS

RENDERED VIEW

I was inspired by the Ray Ban sunglasses. This glasses I made are meant to fit all teenagers and adults. To make my frame and lenses curved I used the Ctrl2view tool. Then I made a patch to the lens curve and extrude the frame, after that I used fillet edge to make the edges look beautiful.
I used clear gray plastic for the lenses, heavy grain for the frame, and all the gold is made with brass. I decided to use all of the materials I listed above to give my sunglasses strength and durability. Then I chose to combine brown with gold to make them look elegant so that people would want to buy them.
