Brett LaCour Week 3 Hammer
While modeling in rhino, I created a simple utility hammer. The overall form of the hammer is representative of a traditional hammer. I was a little creative with the way I shaped the head. Considering I designed it with the intentions of being a utility hammer meaning any one can use it, a wider surface area would help the users accuracy when striking. The hammer is also stout in order to be stowed away neatly in any setting. As for materials I chose a rubber for the handle in order to provide a comfortable fit in the users hand. I chose a light hardwood for the shaft leaning towards more traditional hammers. Lastly the head is made of aluminum for its lightweight and durable qualities.
