Grant Hoskins Winter 2014 ELDS 205 Duck
I created a wine stopper duck in Rhino. I was thinking of
products that would work well with the shape of a duck. And then I realized
that I wanted a glass of wine, which brought me to the idea of a wine stopper.
I looked up pictures of stoppers and got some inspiration on what I wanted to
do. I think it turned out pretty well.
I started the model by creating two spheres, one for the
body and one for the head. I then rebuilt the geometry and shaped it to look
like a duck. To make the neck, I used the blend command. The wine stopper is
made of a truncated cone, regular cone and several torus. The torus were scaled
down according to where they were on the stopper.
