Ryan Quinn: Week 2 Flashlight

I wanted to design a practical case for a flashlight that could improve upon the the contours of the light.  My design has a efficient and functional grip near the light source.  I also took some inspiration from the symmetrical designs of some rugged flashlights, but i wanted a softer color pallet.
I used the section tool to make the first basic shape of the light after creating the basic shape of the light.  Next i used the fillet command to soften all the edges of the section and finally revolved the section.  I used polar array and Boolean difference to make the cut out of the rear of the light. Lastly I extruded the letter R, for Ryan, as a logo for the light.
I placed a light for my lens cap inside the flashlight to give the effect of it being lit.  The majority of the light is made of a brown tinted aluminum, a fairly cheap and reliable material.  The orange rings are made of copper.  I liked how they lightened up the dark brown of the rest of the flashlight.  finally I added a slight blue tint to the shadow to compliment the orange hue of the flashlight.
