GIANNI YARTO: WEEK 2 DUCK
My design is based on the fact that I didn't own a teapot or even drink tea before attending SCAD. This teapot is for my fellow overly-caffeinated peers. All nighters for life says the duck.
The main technique used in making my teapot were the manipulation of certain control points within several spheres. The head and body as well as the handle and lid were all made by splitting objects, then using BlendSrf to connect them. I also used project for most of my cutting tools.
The materials I chose to go with stayed pretty true to a ducks actual colors. I think the white ceramic accented by the emerald eyes and black pupils really brings the piece to life. The yellow used in the beak is just a shiny plastic that I adjusted the color of.
