Maria Samperio: week2 Duck

My concept for this project was a mug duck for little girls. The inspiration came from my need of a mug cup because I lost mine. I lower the head of the duck so it would be comfortable to drink from the container. The users of this product will be children so the content of liquid will be approximately of a cup. The grab handler is thick and small enough for children to use it.

The materials and colors were specifically picked for a reason, the mint and pink colors, are complementary that achieves a certain harmony and balance between them. Also, the material chosen were clear plastics, these material allowed the object to be translucent, , achieving a reflection of different shapes and extra detail.

Most of the tools I used were the mirror command for the eyes and the wind, editing object point and basically naked edges was a challenge. Joining, grouping and Boolean union were my three best friend against naked edges.
