GIANNI YARTO: WEEK 2 FLASHLIGHT

My intent with this design was to create a flashlight that looked rugged yet not super bulky. The flashlights shape is somewhat military inspired . It's designed to be easily held and gripped while still maintaining a good aesthetic.

Most to the flashlight was made mostly by using both BoleanUnion and BoleanDifference. To achieve the corkscrew in the middle segment of the light I created a piped helix, then used BoleanDifference to make the notch. The top part was made using a truncated cone and also I used BoleanDifference to carve out some parabolas that I then fed piped curves into.

For my material chooses I wanted to do something along the lines of safari or military colorways. For the base of the flashlight I chose a tan fiberglass. For the notches at the top I chose a light tan to accent the bean of the flashlight. and for the two middle segments I chose an olive green to really give it the military vibe I was trying to achieve.
