ELDS 205: Computer Aided Product Design

For my flashlight design I went with a basic slender modern appeal. The colors gives it a childlike appearance, this flashlight also was designed specifically for a child/girl market. While designing, my influences were children's toys such as Barbie and Doc Mccstuffins.

My design is basic, fit for a children's market. I used cylinders and spheres to execute my design for the flash light. I added many layers to the flashlight for more options of materials and colors. I also fillet my edges to make the flashlight appear more smooth.

For my materials I chose a purple shimmer material, as I stated before, my influences were children's play toys, so I chose the basic barbie colors which are pink and purple. The shimmer adds  great detail material to the flashlight handle and head. I use the black to define the pink and purple colors. I kept the flash light two colors instead of adding more because I did not want material dysfunction.
