Crysta Polvinale: Week 2 Duck

My design intent with this was to create a functional USB thumb drive enclosed in an attractive shell. I can picture this product on my key chain, as a cute play on the classic rubber duck. The usb seemed a perfect replacement for a bill as it is projected like a traditional thumb drive.
I used the mirror command to create the body. After forming spheres, I shaped one half the way I wanted and used split. Then I mirrored the halves. Boolean union came in handy for attaching the usb bill and keychain.
With the coloring in keyshot I decided to divorce from the bright yellow and orange to a cooler color palette. The consistency of color gives this product a more modern look, I think. I used the soft touch plastic because I imagined that this product would be handled frequently. Also, this type of material seemed less prone to scratches and annoying interactions with keys it would likely be surrounded by.
