Paige Roche: Week 3-Mouse
Today's technology is an effective tool in which young adolescents use almost everyday, so I wanted to make a mouse that would gear towards their age group. This mouse is resembling a butterfly. I wanted to make a simple yet cute accessory for the computer.
In Rhino, I first created the shapes I wanted and used the boolean2objects, boolean union, and curve projection commands. The curvature graph command made things very easy. The track ball is doubled with a sensory ball on top so the user can have more control.
In Keyshot, I wanted to make the mouse look sleek, not too colorful. Technology has a sleek look to it so I wanted to stay in that realm. I like the added texture to the wings, I think it gives it some variety and dimension. If this was an actual product, I would have more than one for sale and change the base color so the purchaser could chose their favorite color.
