I tried my hand at creating a mouse design that doesn't look too over the top. This mouse was meant to be seen all throughout the night because of its glow in a dark setting. The standard computer mouse shaped was used, so nothing really innovative was implemented in this project.
I lofted my basic shape, split a curve through the bottom, sweeped the height of the mouse, then capped off the bottom to finish. A couple of edges were filleted for a more consistent mouse shape. The added details were the grips which were extruded from an arrayed pattern. The clear bottom piece was split from a profile curve.
I chose a 2 color design as I wanted to keep it very simple. I used shiny black reflective paint for the main body. The 2 neon green buttons convey that it is a casual mouse for a younger crowd. It is meant to be easily found when stumbling around in the dark.
