For this assignment I designed a ring inspired in the "stacking" ring sets. I rendered the texture by adding a new wood texture to my key shot material library as I wanted a really specific texture for my design. When adjusting the wood texture I added a back-plate texture of the same wood grain but with a high contrast, to make the wood look more realistic.

For this assignment I followed the tutorial to model this USB Connector and then I had some fun by rendering it with a cable that was attached to the mouse I did last week. In key shot I used a rubber texture for the main body of the connector and cable and a chromed finish for the head of the USB.

For this assignment I decided to make a wireless USB mouse instead of a track ball mouse. I used a rough black textured plastic for the body and I made the buttons and grooves clear to add depth to my design.

Rodrigo Miguel - Toy Hammer

For this assignment I decided to divide the handle into rubber and clear plastic segments to make the design much more ergonomic and more children friendly. I also played around with the lighting so the head of the hammer would get a shadow so you could appreciate its shape a lot more!

I just tried exploding all the grips and apparently the first three are not as bad as the last one but it didn't work. For a weird reason the surface of the grip was not allowing me to blend it with the grip. I just erased the handle and re-did it and also changed the contrast in the lighting options to make the composition more dramatic. I'm really happy with the results!

For this project I decided to turn the rendering of a duck into a soap dispenser for kids with a plastic container and a chromed handle.
