Andra Wibisono: Week 1 Castle

I was inspired to create a castle design fit for the 21st century. I looked towards blending fluid organic shapes with classical elements in my design. I looked at many examples if contemporary architecture to figure out how I could arrange my buildings and columns.

I used the sweep command for most of my construction. The main building was created using this method. I could project any shape through a curve with the sweep command and this allowed me to create organic forms. Boolean difference was used to create texture on the columns.

I decided that form was my main focus so i preferred to keep the material plain so as not to take away from the shapes and structure of my design.
